In the afternoon of September 23rd, 2020, Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board and Hongkou District Commission of Commerce jointly held the conference, "Policies for Regional Headquarters and R & D Centers of Multinational Companies", one of the series of online sessions, "Drive Global Investment, Share Hongkou’s Future". Partner of Jin Mao Law Firm, Han Zheng, was invited by Hongkou District Commission of Commerce to make an English speech on the topic “Implementation and Landing of Foreign Investment and M&A”, together with experts from Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board, Bank of Shanghai and Shanghai Foreign Service（Group）Co., Ltd.

Based on the Foreign Investment Law, Partner Han Zheng introduced the facilitative measures concerning the foreign investment access provided by Chinese and Shanghai governments, adjustment of the structure and path of the foreign investment, risk control during the process of foreign investment and M&A before and after the promulgation of the Foreign Investment Law. He also analyzed, on a case base, the changing path of foreign investment in China, preferential policies related to the investing, financing and M&A of foreign investors in China and the preferential and simplified procedures provided by the governments. Experts from Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board, Bank of Shanghai and Shanghai Foreign Service (Group) Co., Ltd talked about the overview of foreign investment in Shanghai, relative business of the investment banks and human resources management etc.

More than a thousand people participated in this conference. The participations were from organizations and enterprises in a number of countries all over the world, including Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Sino-Ocean Group Holding Limited, Costa Crociere, S.p.A., Santander UK, MSH China and Greenwoods Asset Management.
