Jin Mao Invited to Attend and Deliver Speech at the “Policy Introduction on MNC’s Regional Headquarters and R&D Center” Online Conference

On August 25, 2020, Invest Shanghai and Hongkou Commission of Commerce jointly held the “Policy Introduction on MNC’s Regional Headquarters and R&D Center” online conference, one of the series of “Drive Global Investment, Share Hongkou’s Future” online events. Mr. Benny Huang, partner of Jin Mao Law Firm, was invited to deliver speech on “Policy Interpretation Regional Headquarters and R&D Centers of Multinational Companies in Shanghai”.

Mr. Benny Huang introduced the establishment of MNC’s regional headquarters and R&D centers in Shanghai in recent years, and deeply analyzed the relevant national and Shanghai policies of MNC’s regional headquarters and R&D center, including the qualification requirements, responsible authority, incentive and preferential policies, etc. MNC’s regional headquarters and R&D center, as the foreign-invested organizations respectively with management functions and research and development functions, enjoy more preferential policies compared with normal foreign-invested enterprises, and Mr. Benny Huang also highlighted and summarized the relevant preferential policies that MNC’s regional headquarters and R&D center are entitled to from the perspectives of fund using, entry-exit of personnel, trade and logistics, intellectual properties, as well as various subsidies.
