EHS Specialized Attorney-at-Law Joined Jin Mao

Rogers Wu, attorney-at-law, joined Jin Mao in July 2009. He has master degrees at chemical engineering (1995 from East China University of Science & Technology) and law (2001 from East China University of Politics & Laws). He is experienced both at leadership and management of manufacturing sites and as in-house counsel at multi-national company.

Rogers Wu has worked for 3 years at a local chemicals public company and for 10 years at DuPont Company, a Fortune 500 listed US-based company. Being at various positions including R&D Leader, Production Supervisor, Project Resource, Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager and Operations Manager, he gained lots of practice and experience at manufacturing plant management, project management, labor relationship handling, EHS management, etc. In addition, he is one of the first Certified Safety Engineers who are certified by State Administration of Work Safety Supervision.

Before joining Jin Mao, Rogers worked as in-house counsel at INVISTA, a subsidiary company of Koch Industry which is the largest private company of the world. Rogers focused on EHS legal and provided excellent legal support to the project and operating plants including project feasibility study, project approval process, construction, project acceptance inspection and right-to-operate permits application on environmental protection, occupational health, safety, fire protection, special equipments, dangerous chemicals manufacturing permit and trading permit, etc. Meanwhile, he also provided the legal support to the day-to-day operations/business such as contract review, on-job-injury handling, occupational illness handling, labor relationship and corporate governance as well.
