Ms. Li started working in the law firm since 2010 and focused on legal matters relating to foreign investment, international trade, and foreign matters related litigation and arbitration. Ms. Li provided legal services to foreign companies in relation to foreign direct investment and M&A projects, as well as disputes with domestic trading companies, and served as regular legal counsel for many foreign invested enterprises. In recent years, Ms. Li represented domestic companies in their international arbitration cases, and also assisted them with their overseas investment projects.
Ms. Li was recognized as Leading Talent of Foreign-matters Related Lawyer by Guangdong Lawyers Association in 2017, and as Leading Talent of Foreign-matters Related Lawyer by Guangzhou Lawyers Association in 2022. In 2019, Ms. Li was selected to attend the Singapore-Guangdong Lawyers Exchange Programme conducted by The Law Society of Singapore, and to attend The University of Law International Arbitration Programme.
Ms. Li turned to practice in Beijing since 2023, and is now a partner in Jinmao (Beijing) Law Firm. She was selected for the "Dongcheng District Lawyers Association Foreign-Related Lawyer Talent Pool" in 2024.
Representative cases in international trade area
- Acting for a domestic coal company in a LCIA arbitration in London brought by a Singapore company in relation to dispute of the contract of sales and purchase of coal which was governed by English law;
- Acting for a domestic energy company’s overseas subsidiary in an ICC arbitration in Singapore brought by an Italian company in relation to dispute of the contract of sales and purchase of LNG which was governed by English Law;
- Acting for a German company in the lawsuits brought by a Chinese company in domestic court in relation to dispute of the contract for international sales of goods;
- Assisting a German-invested company to deal with the lawsuits in domestic courts in relation to dispute of the contract of carriage of goods by sea;
- Assisting a Singapore company to bring a lawsuit in domestic court against a Chinese company in relation to dispute of the contract for international sales of goods;
- Assisting a US company to bring a lawsuit in domestic court against a Chinese company in relation to dispute of the contract of international air freight forwarding;
- Providing regular legal counsel service to a Chinese energy company, and reviewing contracts for international sales of goods (governed by English Law);
- Assisting a state-owned enterprise in an internal training program about the U.S. FCPA.
